BakedFeta Pasta has become a major viral trend globally and is called the “TikTok pasta.” Watch the video tutorial, and you’ll be amazed how the feta cheese turns into a creamy pasta sauce. Baked feta pasta is going viral worldwide because it’s astonishingly simple to make with just a handful of fresh ingredients!
Here are a few reasons you’ll love TikTok’s baked feta pasta:
- Easy! You need one bake pan.
- Quick: Add the tomatoes, feta, oil, and seasonings to the dish and bake; stir, then serve!
- Simple yet flavorful: The feta, tomatoes, basil, garlic, and arugula. Full of flavors and color.
- Creamy: The hot, melty feta becomes perfectly creamy, combining with the juicy tomatoes for a decadent pasta you will crave.
- SO versatile: Make this baked feta pasta however you want! You can also keep the pasta gluten-free by using gluten-free pasta or serving it over zoodles or spaghetti squash. Or use vegan feta!
Tips for making baked feta pasta
- Use the freshest ingredients possible. I highly recommend using fresh cherry tomatoes (not canned diced tomatoes), fresh basil, fresh arugula, and fresh minced garlic with such minimal ingredients. And extra virgin olive oil makes all the difference here – it’s essentially what makes up the sauce!
- Use the right feta: This is the number one cooking tip for success! Use feta cheese that you like the most. My suggestions use French or Greek Feta.
- Pasta: Almost any pasta works with this creamy tomato feta sauce. I am partial to medium-shaped pastas such as penne, orecchiette, casarecce, fusilli elbows, rotini, and farfalle.
Here are a few ideas
Here are a few more ways that you can customize this baked feta pasta if you would like:
- Add a protein: Cook up some chicken, shrimp, salmon, or scallops on the side if you would like to add a protein to the pasta once it has been cooked.
- Add veggies: You are also welcome to cook (roast, sauté, or however you prefer) extra veggies to add to the pasta if you would like, such as broccoli, onions, asparagus, bell peppers, or mushrooms.
- Make it gluten-free: Use your preferred kind of gluten-free pasta, or you could also serve this over spiralized veggie noodles (such as zucchini or sweet potato noodles).
- Make it spicier: Add more crushed red pepper flakes, dried chili, or sliced fresh chili.
- Add extra herbs: Feel free to add any herbs to this sauce, such as oregano, thyme, rosemary, or fresh chives.
HOW TO STORE AND REHEAT LEFTOVERS
- To store this yummy pasta, place any leftovers in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator for one to two days.
- To reheat, place leftovers in a covered skillet on low heat. Cook, occasionally stirring, until heated through. If the pasta seems a little dry, you can add a splash of water or a bit of olive oil, or both.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prep oven. Heat oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Prep the tomato feta sauce. Place the cherry tomatoes in an oven-safe baking dish. Place the feta block in the middle of the baking dish surrounded by the cherry tomatoes, then drizzle everything evenly with olive oil. Place the garlic on top of the tomatoes and season the tomatoes with a pinch of salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
- Bake. Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the tomatoes have burst and are nice and juicy.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta. While the tomatoes and feta are baking, heat a large stockpot of generously salted water until boiling. About 10 minutes or so before the tomatoes and feta are set to finish, add the pasta to the boiling water and cook until al dente.
- Put it all together. Remove the baking dish from the oven. Immediately toss everything to combine and stir the mixture together until the feta has melted into a creamy sauce. Add in the cooked pasta and fresh basil, and the arugula. If the sauce seems too dry, add in some of the water from the pasta.
- Season. Taste and season with extra salt and pepper, if needed.
- Serve. Baked Feta Pasta is ready to serve!

Ingredients
Penne
300gExtra virgin olive oil
3tbsCherry tomatoes
500gFeta cheese
250gItalian seasoning
1tspGarlic cloves
3piecesSalt
1/2tspBlack pepper
1/2tspBasil

Tip #1
It’s best to leave tomatoes whole as they will shrink and blister in the oven once cooked. If they are cut they will overcook and become too mushy.Tip #2
Mix in the pasta fairly quickly as soon as the dish is out of the oven while the feta is still warm. This will ensure the creaminess will then come together with the pasta, as once the cheese cools down, the cheese will start to harden.Baked Feta Pasta Recipe
